Port Augusta to Kimba

No stopping at Port Augusta as we have explored it on 2 previous trips, stopped for diesel only.

Morning tea at Iron Knob, a dry dusty mining town.

                                                            Pano, Iron Knob.

                                                                   Then a little more desert.

Our overnight free camp, Kimba, with another set of painted silos.

                                                                   Camp Kimba.

                                                                    Murals about town.

                                                   Pano, mural.

                                                                     Main street, Kimba.
Kimba is smaller than Howard, yet has great facilities, playgrounds pool, cycle ways. We find this in virtually all small towns. But as part of Hervey Bay shire, Howard has nothing. Hervey Bay council even removed the playground train & moved it to Torquay. Our council is a disgrace.
