We are spending 4 nights at Streaky Bay & we have been having a fire & drinks on the beach every night which has been great.
Yesterday morning Wayne had his defibrillator fire off 3 times over 1 or 2 hour period, it was completely incapacitating & caused him to collapse in pain. Wayne had the pacemaker & defibrillator surgically implanted at the end of last year. Graham called an ambulance which took over an hour to arrive.He was taken to the Streaky Bay hospital & then flown directly to the Adelaide cardiac ward, by a specially fitted cardiac aircraft. He will be unable to drive & his wife Sandy is also unable to tow the van, so currently Graham is organising a driver to get the van back to Brisbane.We are able to relocate all 3 vans to Port Lincoln tomorrow with Gail driving their van & Graham driving Wayne & Sandys'
.From Port Lincoln there is an airport where a new driver can fly in & Sandy can fly out to Adelaide.
We have cycled out toward Cape Bauer & driven & explored both the Cape Bauer loop & the Westall Way loop.

Looking out into the Southern Ocean
The scenery was at least as good as the Great Ocean Road, but without all the people, in fact we were the only ones there.
The scale is deceptive, the wet area in this pic is at least 100ft above the water, but has been pounded by giant Southern rollers on the high tide this morning.
Even the lookout a good 150ft above the water shows the effects of pounding waves.
